Description
Assignment for painting class. Done after Elephant Girl as the second in a series.
Acrylic on canvas ~ 28"x40"
I painted this from another drawing in the medical curiousity book from which I drew the inspiration for Elephant Girl. I found it to have some of the same characteristics; a drawing of a medical ailment depicted in a bizarre and almost comical manner. I thought the skeletons looked like they were dancing together. I used a similar style as in Elephant Girl, the gestural stroke and garish background color fading to black.
